ABOUT US

We are devoted to making sure your company receives the quality service it deserves from a mudlogging company. This quality is evident in our mudloggers, equipment, and dedication to client satisfaction.

Mudloggers
Only top mudloggers are hired at Camco to manage our units in the field. We carefully screen all potential mudloggers before we place them on jobs. We test their knowledge and skills, and evaluate their performance in the field. We believe this is the only way to ensure we are providing our clients with the highest-quality, most-accurate, mudlogging available.

Client Satisfaction
Whether you are a huge oil company and drill several wells a year, or a small independent company, we want to develop the kind of relationship that will endure long after the well is completed. It is our belief that when a client is satisfied, that client will continue to use our services over and over again, and perhaps even tell a friend.

The Owner
Mike Cunningham Jr. has been around mudlogging most of his life. He is a second-generation mudlogger who started out ‘catchin’ samples’ for his father’s mudlogging company at the age of ten. Mike mudlogged during the summers while attending high school. After high school Mike went to work for a large mudlogging company where he worked his way into operations at the age of nineteen. Shortly thereafter the petroleum industry went into a recession. Mike left the mudlogging business and went to college. He studied Political Science and Speech Communication at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. When Mike completed college, the petroleum industry was in an upward cycle. He went to work for another large mudlogging company and worked in their operations department in South Texas. In 1998 Mike decided to start his own mudlogging company. Mike moved to Hallettsville, Texas and founded Camco Logging Service with one leased mudlogging unit. Now, under Mike’s direction Camco has increased its mudlogging fleet to nine units, and is based in La Marque, TX. Mike is still looking for opportunities for further expansion of Camco and its state-of-the-art mudlogging services.

Geospect
Around the year 2000, at the dawn of a new millennium, a new brand of mudlogging instrumentation started taking shape. Our sister company, Geospect instruments, led by Mike Cunningham Jr. was pioneering the concept of virtual mudlogging instrumentation. This new brand of instruments not only acquired data, but actually took it a step further by transforming the computer into an integral part of the actual mudlogging instrument. Most mudlogging companies were focusing their research and development efforts on "hooking up" computers to existing older, and sometimes unreliable equipment. Geospect was focusing its efforts on using computers as virtual instruments. Now after six years of continuous refinement and development Geospect is one of the most reliable and accurate mudlogging systems in the world! In 2005 Geospect began making its technology available to all mudlogging companies, worldwide.
